With South Africa being favoured with the opportunity of hosting the 60th International Public Relations Association (IPRA) 2015 World Congress and Exhibition which takes place in September 2015 in Sandton, the Congress has brought the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence to South Africa ’s Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE shores.

Besides being the highest honour for a public relations practitioner to achieve, this is an opportunity to showcase the incredible talent and abilities of practitioners in this profession as well as the valuable work that South African industry provides their clients on a daily basis.

Each year, a jury of experienced communication professionals judge the entries and nominates the best of the best.  Winners are selected on the basis of unique merit, relevance, concrete objectives, creative strategies and tactics, and demonstrable results.

With over 30 categories ranging from crisis management to consumer products, the GWA attracts hundreds of entrants from around the globe. Trophies for 2015 will be presented at the World Congress on the Gala Evening on Monday, 28 September. 

For PRISA AND PRCC members, registration and fees for the IPRA Congress costs R 15 000 per delegate. The fee for Congress includes one free GWA entry per paid delegate. The value of a GWA entry is R6890 per entry. A second entry is available at 50% of the GWA fee (R3970).

All one has to do to enter is: Prepare an entry (Format is similar to PRISMs); and sign up for the Congress.

The 2014 Golden World Awards for Excellence attracted a record 415 entries, and 2015 is expected to see that record broken. Entrants have until Thursday, 30 April to get their entries in. To enter, visit www.gwa.ipra.org.
