He will judge design work at the New York Festival international advertising awards (to be staged in May), followed by judging in the direct marketing categories at the D&AD (design and art direction) awards in London (also for presentation in May) and will finally be called on to judge entries in the direct advertising category at the Cannes Lions international festival of creativity on the French Riviera in June.

Wright commented: "I have worked on judging panels locally and internationally in the past, but this is the first time I have been invited to judge work at three consecutive award programmes – all high-profile events. It is a great honour and confirmation that South African creative insights are highly valued across the global advertising industry." 

Wright’s own record as an award-winning designer, art director and creative director goes back to 2000.
