The station has taken a 360-degree approach and extended its reach beyond the airwaves. Through its partnership with Zoopy, the station has moved into the realm of visual experiences with the launch of its own online and mobile TV show: Good Hope FM TV. The show can be watched online or via mobile.

“The idea behind Good Hope FM TV is that we show listeners how we live by showing viewers what we’re up to and what we experience everyday,” says Station Manager, Natano Brache, “we take pride in being the first South African radio station to launch such a platform that lives on the Zoopy site.”

The TV show will include a range of content including Knob’s World (a weekly wrap up of what The Knob gets up to on the Nigel Pierce Breakfast Show every day); You’ve Been Cooked (cooking with Good Hope FM DJs and celebrities); Slice of the Good Life (events); This is How We Roll (profiles of Good Hope FM DJs); and In Studio (interviews that takes place in the Good Hope FM studio).

Good Hope FM has also opened a Zoopy channel, which will house all general videos; photos; and audio related to Good Hope FM, along with user-generated content from time to time. The Knob will also upload his daily antics onto the channel. The channel can be seen here.

Zoopy CEO, Jason Elk said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Good Hope FM to deliver the additional dimension of video to their listeners – who will now also become their viewers. Between the TV show and channel, fans are able to enjoy a richer entertainment experience, with content that gives them never-before-seen footage from inside and around the Cape’s favourite radio station. Best of all, listeners will also be able to watch and interact with the shows from wherever they are, whenever they like, thanks to the full mobile versions of the show and channel.”

Good Hope FM TV will also be integrated onto the Good Hope FM website in the near future.
