Rian and Jacaranda 94.2 to pay listeners’ bills this January

Published: 17 January 2012

As the school terms get underway and listeners return to the world of dodging traffic, making back-to-back meetings, beating deadlines and exceeding targets, Jacaranda 94.2 has put aside hundreds of thousands of rands to help with those nasty bills that have piled up over the holiday season.

Rian and Jacaranda 94.2 to pay listeners’ bills this January
Host of the brand-new Complimentary Breakfast show, Rian van Heerden, says he has been given R100 000 to get rid of these bills, and he "can't wait to hear about all the interesting, and sometimes crazy and weird, ways in which people have spent their money over the December period".

The station is calling for listeners to submit their bills via sms on 37942. They then need to tune in to the show between 6:00 and 10:00 from Monday to Friday to find out if their debt is about to disappear.

Programme manager, Neil Johnson, says the station is "due to receive a huge response from Jacaranda's listeners. They know we have their best interests at heart - especially now in one of the 'make or break' months of the year!"
