Avusa Media hosts its first online ad auction

On any given day, a full-page, full-colour ad in leading daily newspaper The Times is valued at R70 200. However, for one day only this April – and as part of the re-launch of advertising sales platform PushPrint – bidders could purchase the space via a live online auction.

Brett Hobbs from Carat, an independent media planning and buying specialist, placed the winning bid of R12 500 for the ad space, which started at no reserve price.
