Opening the third session will be Pravesh Nungaldave, who was born and bred in Pietermaritzburg, ate bunny chows in Durban and made people laugh in Joburg. The second act will be Maanda Mungulwa, bringing the audience laughter all the way from Venda, followed by Capetonian Deen Schroeder.
The May headliner is Chris Mapane, who hails from the Free State and is known for inducing laughter on any topic within three minutes.
To ensure comedy longevity at Joburg Promusica Theatre, the search is on for aspiring comedians in and around the West Rand who are interested in attending stand-up comedy classes and workshops and eventually be part of the
Just Nje Comedy Nights. Workshops will take place in Cartonville, Mohlakeng, Kagiso, Elandsdrift, Krugersdorp, Randfontein and Roodepoort throughout the year. For information, call Nandipha on 072 189 0263.
