Tim started his broadcasting career on campus radio at
Tuks FM in 1996 where he first hosted a graveyard slot before taking the helm of the breakfast show. After a three-year break to pursue a law career, Tim realised radio was in his blood and he returned to
Tuks FM where, within a year, he was appointed as programme manager before becoming the station manager.
Tim’s passion lies in training on-air talent and he has been fortunate to have played an active role in the careers of many current commercial media professionals. Tim has worked in the retail radio space, as a broadcast lecturer and as breakfast show presenter on
Radio 2000. In 2008 he took over the role of programme manager at
Ofm where he played an integral role in growing audience and redefining the on-air product.
Says Tim, “I’ve always wanted to work for
5fm and am extremely excited about joining the team in August. I look forward to working with
5fm’s many great broadcasters in creating even greater content for the airwaves. It’s going to be massively rewarding and challenging at the same time.”
5fm’s station manager, Aisha Mohamed, says, “We look forward to welcoming Tim to the
5fm family. Programming is at the heart of our station and we’re confident that Tim will be a huge asset to our team.”
