Sony Entertainment goes Stir Crazy

Published: 18 June 2012

On Friday, 29 June at 20:30, Sony Entertainment Television (DStv channel 113) brings you the killer comedy pairing of Gene Wilder (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein) and Richard Pryor (See No Evil, Hear No Evil; Silver Streak) in the vintage movie, Stir Crazy.

Wilder plays out-of-work playwright Skip Donahue and Pryor is out-of-work actor Harry Monroe, who are framed for a bank robbery after dressing up as woodpeckers. While in jail, they discover that Skip is a “natural cowboy” who can ride any bronco – and the inter-prison rodeo is coming up soon ...

This gag-a-minute caper comedy was directed by Sidney Poitier in 1980.
