Published: 6 August 2012

South African President Jacob Zuma, recently launched CNBC Africa’s new political economy programme, Political Exchange, to be broadcast live every week day at 21:00.

The show is anchored by seasoned journalist Karima Brown.

"One message we keep hearing when we engage with business leaders, is that they do not have enough information on important issues that determine government decisions and the policy formulation process. Through Political Exchange, we aim to answer these questions and more’’, says Godfrey Mutizwa, CNBC Africa chief editor.

President Jacob Zuma highlighted some key issues regarding South Africa’s positioning in the political and economic sector. “Our government has worked out a number of programs to assist in the growth of the economy, infrastructure being the vital aspect in job creation. I am confident that our infrastructure roll-out is on track”, says Zuma. “We are also prioritising education and ways in which we can quicken the process for us to reach a certain level, it’s good to note that matric results have gradually been improving”, he concludes.

Political Exchange will be broadcast ever week day at 21:00 on CNBC Africa, DStv channel 410.
