Ernie Halvorsen and Cindy Chang win the 19th season of <i>The Amazing Race</i>
Season 19 kicked off just twenty days after The Amazing Race celebrated its tenth anniversary and included a pair of twin sisters, a retired professional football player and his wife, a pair of former winners of Survivor, professional snowboarders and the youngest person to sail around the world solo, racing with his father.

Now in its 19th season, this reality show has snagged 12 Primetime Emmys® and is still firing on all cylinders. The allure lies not just in the exotic destinations and unusual or heart-stopping tasks – audiences are also fascinated to see how the teams cope (or not) with having to think and act under extreme pressure.

Engaged Chicago natives Ernie Halvorsen and Cindy Chang showcased their resilience and emerged victorious.

Halvorsen, a new printing press installations project manager believes that skills attained from his profession helped in winning the race. “I frequently delegate tasks and have the ability to optimize work by utilizing a person’s skill sets. The majority of my job is dealing with time-critical, problem solving tasks that require urgent responses and decisions.”

Chang, Halvorsen’s fiancé and also a project manager believes that “through my corporate job, I have been faced with challenging adversity, taking calculated risks and making quick informed decisions. My job is also highly competitive and you must have a strong desire to win with solid performance. All of these skills are vital to winning The Race”.

Halvorsen and Chang possessed all the skills necessary to out maneuver everyone and proved themselves to be worthy winners of The Amazing Race Season 19. “Our goal is to become entrepreneurs together and The Race gave us a solid opportunity to test our working relationship and see if we can actually work together,” added Chang.

Sony Entertainment Television airs on channel 127 on DStv.
