Bakkie & Truck has bucked the well-publicised trend of magazines losing market share according to the latest ABC report from April to June.
Specialist motoring magazine Bakkie & Truck celebrated its 15th anniversary by being the only consumer motoring magazine in South Africa to show a gain in ABC circulation in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to data released by the Audit Bureau of Circulation recently.
Action Publications has confirmed its new editorial line-up as the company prepares to launch its new AutoWeek newspaper alongside Cars in Action and Bakkie & Truck magazines, both of which turn 15 this year.
Following the failure of a group of previous staff to acquire the Cars in Action title, Action Publications has resumed responsibility for Cars in Action magazine and the Cars in Action Online website. The March issue of the Cars in Action magazine is currently in production at Action's Johannesburg studio.
Cars in Action and Bakkie & Truck magazines recently appointed Wendy Robinson as their new publisher. Robinson, who has a wealth of top-level motor media experience, takes over publishing duties from Michele Lupini, who founded the magazines 15 years ago and now continues as CEO.
Bentley moves to <i>Cars in Action</i>
Internationally respected South African motoring journalist, John Bentley will take over the reins at Cars in Action magazine, in line with fresh investment in the title, the website and its sister title Bakkie & Truck. Bentley takes over as editor from 1 March.
A fresh new look as Cars in Action enters a fresh new era
Cars in Action magazine turns 13 with its May edition and to celebrate its new era, the title has adopted a new masthead and a fresh look that will carry through sister magazine, Bakkie & Truck Action and on to Cars in Action Online in line with that resource’s new Facebook and Twitter presence.
