The programme was launched in City Press on 20 November and at the annual Eat Out DSTV Food Network Awards which took place in Cape Town.

City Press ViP cards could be found in selected copies of the issue and once activated, readers will have access to special events, often with a food theme like the Eat Out Awards, but also touching on other aspects of living a good lifestyle. Readers can apply to attend these events through the mobisite – vip.citypress.co.za on a first come first served basis.

City Press is a compelling read, but now with even more benefits,” says Minette Ferreira, general manager of City Press. “We realised that as a leading Sunday newspaper we had an opportunity to offer our readers additional value. We’ve worked hard to develop this card that offers readers real value and real rewards and helps to add some extra style to their lifestyle.”

Readers who activate their cards by December 15 will be entered into a prize draw for a host of prizes including 4 iPads valued at over R5 000 each. ViP members who subscribe to the paper for a year will receive a travel set valued at R700.
