Wood explains that visitors to the education portal can download and distribute activity worksheets to use in the classroom or at home. The worksheets provide educational content and are developed so that children 'have fun while learning'. She continues, “The foundation phase of education is the most important, and needs to be strongly set and effectively delivered otherwise children cannot move forward successfully in their education. Teachers are extremely busy, and with the integration of the new CAPS system starting this year, it’s going to be a challenging time ahead. Our aim is to make teachers lives a little easier by providing them with resources they don’t need to spend time 'looking' for, thus enabling them to have more free time so they can concentrate on other important things.”

“Online education is the way of the future, and it works as it offers unlimited access from any location – it is all about accessibility. Most schools now have internet access, making it possible for these educators to access the free e-Classroom content,” says Wood. “All our activity worksheets are designed so that they can be easily downloaded and we upload new content monthly now, due to demand."

Wood explains that she is looking to secure sponsorship from the corporate sector through their CSI and/or communication and marketing budgets, so that e-Classroom can broaden their reach to include content for grades four and seven.

e-Classroom’s philosophy is that every child has a right to education and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world.
