The Ice Project's first single, "Rollercoaster", recently entered the
Jacaranda Top Ten, and SABC has also used their song, “Commercial Love”, to drive its Valentine’s Day campaign.
The Ice Project is a refreshing blend of soft rock and contemporary pop music fused together by moving and honest lyrics. Lead vocalist and songwriter Cobus Bester is an artist that emerges out of nowhere, fully formed, with a début that is perceptive and bold.
"I really had fun working with these guys and found them to be hugely talented songwriters. What really stood out for me was the unique sound of Cobus' voice....I see great things happening for this band in the future," said Crous.
Following the album release, Ice Project will be special guests of The Parlotones at the Kirstenbosch venue. This special Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon Concert is a fundraiser for the upcoming Kirstenbosch Centenary in 2013 and promises to be a concert ending the summer season on a high note.
