Avusa Eastern Cape community newspapers comprise of some of South Africa’s most well-established local newspapers, including East London’s Go& Express!; Queenstown’s The Rep; Jeffrey’s Bay and Humansdorp’s Our Times; Port Alfred and surrounds' Talk of the Town as well as Port Elizabeth’s four Algoa Sun local newspapers – Motherwell, The Walmer, The Northern and The Western.

“Avusa Media is pleased to be handing over the sales reins to NAB as we believe that this will aid in added focus to both companies and will allow the Avusa media stable to concentrate on its key newspaper products,” explains Trevor Ormerod, general manager: advertising sales and strategic communications at Avusa Media.

According to John Bowles, joint managing director at NAB, “We’re delighted and excited to represent these wonderful local newspapers again! Having represented the newspapers before, we’re lucky enough to know their areas inside and out. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for NAB to provide our clients with an additional eight publications to consider and of course the Eastern Cape in much more depth. NAB has currently only been representing Grocott’s Mail and Graaff-Reinet and Karoo Nuus Advertiser in the Eastern Cape and so the addition of these local newspapers to our stable will give us a significant national local newspaper footprint for our clients. It will also bring our total weekly print order in the province to just over 90 000 copies," Bowles added. “We’re looking forward to working with the Avusa team and building onto their existing success.”

Please contact NAB if you have any queries on 011 889 0810 or visit the NAB website. All advertising rates, print orders and distribution information for the newspapers will be available on the NAB website on 1 April.
