“I admire the judges who gave freely of their time,” says Trust Masarirambi, Westgate’s marketing manager. “All the performers were great, and I’m sure it wasn’t an easy task deciding which act deserved to win first prize. Congratulations though to the overall winner Wulf Gang and I look forward to hearing their demo and seeing their music video, which are both to be recorded by Enso Entertainment.”

The group also wins a music hamper sponsored by Wild & Marr.

"Second place was awarded to Keo, who performed an acapella version of one of his songs backed by three female vocalists and a beat boxer. Third place was awarded to 14-year-old Shanè Fraenkel, whose solo effort proved she has a voice that is destined for stardom,” he says.

West Rand band Nova Rise opened the event followed by the hip hop and soloist finalists. Wonderboom entertained the crowd before Loyiso Bala proved why he is such a highly rated artist.
