Presented by Coolab Creative Collective in conjunction with the Tri-Continental Film Festival, Cosi-Cosi will showcase three films with a mixture of powerful narratives and a unique directing styles: A Small Town Called Descent, directed by Jahmil XT Qubeka; Mama Goema: The Cape Town Beat in Five Movements, directed by Angela Ramirez; and Surfing Soweto from the director of Othelo Burning, Sara Blecher.

As part of a partnership with the Durban International Film Festival, there will be a giveaway of two double tickets to two new film premieres over the opening weekend of festival, where winners can rub shoulders with the who’s who of South African cinema. Attendees can enter this draw on the day of the event.

The Cosi-Cosi Pop-Up Cinema will also feature open food stalls that will be in full flight during the intervals. The famous Coffee bar at Colombo will also be open to give offer a caffeine rush as the marathon goes on.
