On Thursday, 26 April, Gift Gwe takes to the stage. This singer and songwriter rose to fame in 2005 as the runner up in South African Idols and has been dazzling audiences since with his talent. On Friday, 27 April, comedy star Siv Ngesi performs. Ngesi has enjoyed runaway success with shows like Dekaf, and has been described as “explosive” (Cape Argus). Saturday, 28 April brings a guest appearance by comedy queen, actress, writer and producer Shimmy Isaacs, who is acclaimed for her performances in shows such as Cracks in the City and Allie Pad Funny Worcestor, and is the recent winner of a Kyknet Fiesta award for Best Theatrical Solo Performance in Howzit my bra!

Each evening Taxi Nights also exhibits local talent at its best, including the golden-voiced Ronald Jones, a powerful performance from Christian Bennett and funnyman Eugene Mathews (The Taxi Spare Wheel). To close the evening, the Taxi Boss Soli Philander parades some of his favourite female creations including Rosie September from his early stand-up days, Banu from Woeskroes and the Nameless Wife from Hotnotsgot, which he performed so successfully at The Women's Festival last year.

Doors open at 18:30 and seating is unreserved. The performance starts at 20:30. Guests can enjoy a delicious two-course or three-course meal created by Kalk Bay Theatre’s talented chef Hannah McMahon, with coffee and dessert served after the show. Age advisory 13.

Tickets cost R85. A ticket plus two-course meal costs R235 or for a ticket and three-course meal, R285. Enjoy a burger, dessert and the show for only R165.
