Deep Fried Man in White Whine is the follow-up to his acclaimed debut one-man show Deeply Fried, which won an Ovation Award at the 2011 Grahamstown National Arts Festival and was met with rave reviews during its most recent run at the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square. The brand new show is a blend of music, satire and complaining that, like a good wine, will make you feel great, until you wake up with a pounding headache the following morning.

Deep Fried Man, aka Daniel Friedman, was named Best Newcomer at the 2011 Comics’ Choice Awards and winner at the 2010 Parkers Comedy Showdown. He was nominated for two awards at the 2012 Comics Choice Awards. He started out as an alternative Jewish folk musician who had audiences laugh at him so much that be became a singing comedian and the rest, as they say, is history.

Deep Fried Man in White Whine plays at the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square in Nelson Mandela Square from 18 to 30 September. Performances take place from Tuesdays to Fridays at 20:15 and Saturdays at 18:00 and 20:30.
