Quirky comedy series, Gravity Falls is coming to Disney Channel
Gravity Falls is a fresh new comedy series that follows twins Dipper and Mabel Pines who are sent to spend the summer with their eccentric Great Uncle Stan (aka Grunkle Stan) in a remote northwestern town where nothing is what it seems. Gravity Falls will premiere on Saturday, 10 November on Disney Channel, channel 303 on DStv.
Gravity Falls’ eccentric off-beat humour has already captivated audiences in the US, ranking as the number one animated TV telecast in its timeslot amongst kids aged 2 to 11 and tweens, aged 9 to 14 and attracting 3.55 million total viewers. Featuring celebrity guest stars including Coolio and Larry King, the series follows the adventures of born adventurer, Dipper and energetic optimist, Mabel as they battle the imminent mysteries lurking in their new hometown of Gravity Falls. When the siblings uncover a cryptic journal, they begin to notice the town’s idiosyncrasies and, trapped together in the small isolated town, they quickly realise they need each other to investigate the village secrets.
Created and executive-produced by Alex Hirsch and inspired by his real life adventures with his twin sister, the show features the voice talents of Jason Ritter and Kristen Schaal in the lead roles.
Gravity Falls premieres on Saturday, 10 November at 10:00 on Disney Channel, channel 303 on DStv.
