"The annual heat Hot 100 campaign is a highlight for our readers and we're thrilled that Ryk Neethling has walked away with the winning title for a third time. Votes for Ryk far exceeded his fellow celebs, proving he is still the most popular star in South Africa" says heat editor, Andre Neveling.

It seems that local celebs are climbing the ladder with VUZU’s very own Lalla Hirayama placing at number eight from being last year’s number 46. Not forgetting the Sharks, Patrick Lambie, who has jumped from number 17 to being this year’s number 4. The votes revealed quite a few surprises this year but what’s for sure is that the heat readers love their sports personalities – a new entry, sitting at number two, is Chad Le Clos who swam straight into everyone’s hearts when he won a gold and a silver medal at the London Olympics earlier this year.

Previous winners of the Heat Hot 100 include Victoria Beckham (2004), Johnny Depp (2005), Brad Pitt, (2006), Wentworth Miller (2007), Locnville (2010) and Oscar Pistorius (2011).
