The vehicle branding and transit media specialist wrapped the Isuzu FTR 8-ton vehicle to resemble a giant crimson Christmas gift, complete with decorative bow.

Used in conjunction with the ever-popular 94.7 Highveld Stereo Christmas Wish campaign (now in its twelfth year) the bold red vehicle is used to transport much-needed items to various organisations and charities in an effort to create a bit of Christmas cheer in communities that would otherwise have very little to celebrate. Accompanied by the Altech Netstar 94.7 Ground Patrol , the vehicle also visits various public centres in an attempt to get people into the spirit of giving and to generate some Christmas hype and excitement. Most recently the Truck of Love transported a large choir which emerged from the vehicle singing Christmas carols, much to the astonishment of the shoppers in Johannesburg’s Cresta Shopping Centre.

94.7 Highveld Stereo station manager, Ravi Naidoo, explains the thinking behind the branded vehicle; “The Truck of Love assists us not only in generating a great deal awareness and interest in our Christmas Wish campaign, it is also actively used on the ground to assist individuals and organisations in need. We are able to deliver bulk items to charities on our Christmas Wish list and we can use it as an eye-catching backdrop at public venues as part of a number of activations aimed at connecting with our listeners, spreading the Christmas cheer and getting people into the spirit of giving. After all it’s really about goodwill and giving during this festive time.”

Adds Graffiti director, Gavin Schlaphoff, “Graffiti is tremendously honoured to play just a tiny part in this fantastic initiative. The 94.7 Highveld Stereo Christmas Wish List has improved the lives of so many people over the last twelve years, the very least we could do was show our support in the best way we know how – by branding the vehicle that brings so much cheer to so many.”

The 94.7 Highveld Stereo Christmas Wish and Truck of Love campaigns end on Friday, 14 December.
