TCM is supporting the worthy cause by showing a month long season of movies featuring the pinnacle of moustache brandishing leading males, including Laurence Olivier and Clark Gable.

In 2012, more than one million ‘mo bros’ and ‘mo sistas’ raised over R1.3-billion globally to help fund men’s health programmes supporting prostate cancer and testicular cancer. 2013 TCM will support Movember on-air throughout the campaign via a meticulously picked selection of great moustache movies.

TCM’s Movember Mondays span decades of moustache fashion with styles including ‘the chevron’, ‘the pencil’, ‘the handlebar’ ‘the toothbrush’ and ‘the Mexican’.

Titles in the season include The V.I.Ps starring Richard Burton, Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine in Sleuth, Omar Sharif in Doctor Zhivago, comedian Richard Pryor in Brewster’s Millions and probably one of the most famous moustaches of all, Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind.

Tune in to TCM, DStv channel 137, every Monday at 15:00 and 21:00 from Monday, 4 November for a whole month of Mo’ movies.
