The school is taking space at the expo with a stand that depicts the courage of the creativity process. With its striking black-and-white visuals – a concept designed and executed by Red & Yellow students Bradley Kerrigan and Neill Kropman - will depict the brainstorming process and how creativity takes courage. Students will also be at the stand, brainstorming and working on briefs in real-time to give a glimpse into the creative process.

The stand will also showcase work from Red & Yellow students, including students on the Red & Yellow Springboard Marketing Institute programme. The Springboard Institute is a one-year programme that allows students to qualify for a Level 5 qualification in the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

Says Clayton Sutherland, Red & Yellow’s Academic Head: “The Indaba Expo focuses on inspiring people to create a better future through design and creativity. That makes it the ideal place to showcase our world-class learning and training material in a globally relevant space.”

“It’s also a good opportunity to highlight our student talent. We’re a training ground for people who are willing to risk dreaming up brave ideas to bring them to life. With many award-winning alumni and students, we’re a school that values and encourages courageous thinking.”

Former Red & Yellow graduates who embody this spirit of creative daring include Veli Ngubane, founding partner and creative director of AVATAR; TV personality, Nicky Greenwall; Chris Gotz, executive creative director at Ogilvy and Kamini Pather – freelance media professional, radio host and winner of South Africa’s Masterchef amongst others.
