The workshop was developed to equip entrepreneurs to think differently about their businesses in order to ‘unlock’ new opportunities and accelerate their success. It will teach them how to shift their way of thinking by simply asking the right questions, at the right time, and in the right sequence.

Says Allon Raiz, CEO of Raizcorp; “Many people have this notion that if they follow the exact steps that a ‘successful’ entrepreneur took in their own journey, they too will become successful. As a young man, I asked my mentor what the secret was to becoming wealthy. Surely if it were as simple as reading a book on ‘10 steps to success’ everyone would be rich," asks Raiz.

“He gave me a rather unexpected answer, and said the secret to shifting my own mindset as well as my business, was asking myself the right questions, and answering them honestly. The SimplyBiz Shift Questions workshop was developed to teach entrepreneurs this invaluable skill that they should apply daily,” he adds.

Raiz will be facilitating the workshop, and attendees will spend the day working through a workbook with questions that have been crafted to shift the paradigms of their thinking.

Nedbank’s partnership with Raizcorp, makes it possible to host these workshops in the major metropolitan areas around South Africa aimed at offering strong support for small business development locally; and further develop South African entrepreneurs, and businesses to success.

Vanessa Singh, executive head marketing: Nedbank Retail and Business Banking said; “We are delighted to partner with Raizcorp to bring the SimplyBiz Shift Questions workshop that seeks to unlock growth for businesses and introduce a new way of thinking in solving business challenges. This encourages participants to ask themselves the critical questions, and hopefully come up with the right answers in order to shift the dial - and take their businesses to the next level.”

“As a bank for small business, we remain committed to partnering with businesses for growth for a greater South Africa. This means making things that really matter to businesses happen. This is another way Nedbank is doing its fair share in playing a meaningful contribution in order to foster an entrepreneurial culture and create an environment where small businesses can thrive,” continues Singh.

Having completed the Shift Questions workshop in 2014, Vanessa Cox of Ntirho Business Consulting said that; “It made me re-look my current business model and make the relevant changes.” Deshun Deysel, a motivational speaker and adventurer who attended the event said; “The questions are thought provoking. I learnt a lot on how to rethink what I have been doing. It has helped me to identify how I stand in the way of my businesses growth.”

The first SimplyBiz Shift Questions workshop in association with Nedbank will take place on Saturday, 9 May in Sunninghill in Johannesburg. They will also be hosted in Port Elizabeth, Durban and Cape Town and for more information on these workshops visit the Shift Questions website.
