The team involved included Ricardo Vieira, Ronen Cohen, Llianri Mouton, Mandla Shabangu, Jabulele Gumede and Sipelele Ndungane.

According to MEC’s head of Digital, Eric van Rookhuyzen, "The award appropriately reflects the endless hours of hard work that is often the silent hero in the world of digital. It highlights our ability to ensure that campaigns deliver the maximum level of technical skill, our strategic trafficking ability and the processes and systems we have established to support the sale and delivery of online advertising."

In addition to winning the award for Best Ad Ops Team, MEC took home awards for both Branded Content and Native Advertising within the Advertising and Search category as well as an award for Digital Installations and Activations within the Integrated/ Mixed Media category.
