It was a night of decadence, indulgence and glamour as the Magnum
Pleasure Store in Cape Town Cavendish Square, hosted its final event.
Cape Town-based beauty media and bloggers gathered to watch celebrity
make-up artist Aliki Zanolin of Head2Toe, the creative talent behind
some of South Africa’s most beautiful faces, demonstrate a glamorous
Magnum inspired make-up makeover.
Inspired by the Magnum brand, Zanolin’s colour palette for the evening included luxurious shades of gold, chocolate brown and warm whites - Zanolin exemplified just how easy it is to achieve the perfect makeover in record time. As guests snacked on canapés and Graham Beck champagnes, she went on to share some easy to use, and remember, make-up tips applicable to anyone and any season.
From the importance of every make-up bag having at least two foundations to accommodate changing skin colours across the seasons, to eyebrows being a defining feature that should not be forgotten, Zanolin inspired guests with her easy manner and professional artistry. This left every women feeling that not only can they be beautiful, but glamorous too, and in just a few easy steps.
“It’s about being relevant, to the season and the times,” says Zanolin. And not forgetting the importance of bronzer. “It’s a must,” she says. “Bronzers warm up the face and are fabulous, especially in winter, to help avoid that washed out look.”
The Magnum Cape Town Pleasure Store, open daily at Cavendish Square from 10:00 to 20:00 until Sunday, 15 March, is giving Capetonians the opportunity to participate and indulge. With a choice of decadent chocolate dips and nearly 20 toppings from sea salt to chilli flakes and rose petals to chocolate-coated honeycomb, The Make My Magnum experience costs R40 and includes a choice of three premium toppings.
“It provides fans with the chance to customise their own Magnum ice cream any way they want, whilst affording them the opportunity to celebrate our 25th birthday with us,” says Pranya Naidoo, Magnum Brand Manager, Unilever.
