To enter, tweeters have to register their Twitter handle on the SA Home Loans website or mobi site and tweet their dream to @SAHomeLoans using #TweetDreams. Every time a registered tweet is received, SA Home Loans drop the winning interest rate from its starting point of 9.25% - it could drop as low as 0%. People from across the country are taking part, with entrants describing a variety of different dreams, for example @Sashrie tweeted, “@SAHomeLoans My dream is to be able to take my husband on vacation to thank him for everything he does for us… #TweetDreams.”

As the country’s largest specialist, non-bank home loan provider, SA Home Loans is passionate about home loans and helping their clients get their dream home. Tweet Dreams is another way of connecting with home owners to make their dreams come true. The competition is exclusively available to South Africa’s Twitter community and with Liquorice’s digital expertise behind them, it is already a resounding success.

At the end of the first week, the interest rate dropped to 2.846%, thanks to the many tweets rolling in. One winner will be selected via lucky draw at the end of the week, and will be offered the winning low rate on their home loan for a year – no matter which lender their current bond is with. Next week the promotion will run for a second time giving even more South Africans a chance to achieve their #TweetDreams.

“Nothing makes me happier than a project like this,” says Miles Murphy, CEO of Liquorice. “It’s a testament to technology’s ability to make anything possible. Our work with SA Home Loans is about helping home owners achieve their dreams.”
