The campaign aims to donate much needed school necessities as per the schools’ wish lists. On Tuesday, 14 of April, Sinetjudu Primary School (Mpumalanga) and Hlomani Secondary School (Mpumalanga) were recipients of the school donation campaign getting school dictionaries and an overhead projector. Thandulwazi Primary School (Mpumalanga); Magaduzela Primary School (Mpumalanga) and Motwaneng Primary School (Mpumalanga) are to be recipients of the campaign on Wednesday, 15 April and Thursday, 16  April.

Albany Bakeries will be donating Albany Superior White and Brown bread, projectors, classroom chairs and dictionaries during their visit to the schools.

The school donation handover events are conducted by Colin Nkosi, controller at Albany Pretoria Bakery.

“I take this initiative seriously and it is close to my heart. As part of our selection process, we involved one of the local radio stations in Mpumalanga to have their listeners call in to nominate schools of their choice for us to visit and donate required items in order to assist schools in need. So far the campaign has been running smoothly and we are proud to have given back to communities that support the Albany brand,” says Nkosi.

“It will be a wonderful three days of people coming together to help make a difference in the lives of the school children and their families. Albany is honoured to have the opportunity to play a role in helping these communities build a better future and offering much needed support,” says Albany marketing manager Nosipho Mokabela.
