"For me, the most surprising thing about Diary of a Wimpy Kid has been how kids of different cultures around the world have embraced Greg Heffley," says Jeff Kinney. "I’m very excited that we’re able to publish in so many languages, and I’m eager to meet as many fans as I can across the world."

"Very few books indeed have achieved the global success of Diary of a Wimpy Kid," says Francesca Dow, MD of Penguin Random House, Children’s. "We are thrilled to be able to part of this huge international publishing moment which will bring Jeff’s new book, the tenth in this ongoing series – an incredible milestone – to as many readers as possible around the world."

The second annual Wimpy Kid Month, established in 2014, runs throughout April and is a celebration of all things Greg Heffley, including competitions and challenges on  the Wimpy Kid Club website, social media and partner websites. On Monday, 27 April at 14:00 hundreds of thousands of children in schools and homes around the world tuned in to a live global webcast streamed from New York City, during which Kinney revealed the cover, title and theme of book 10 for the first time.

The ninth book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, sold over two million copies in all formats around the world in its first week. There are more than 150 million copies of the series in print.
