“We have been impressed by the number and calibre of nominations, 2015 has proven to be no exception. An increase in the volume of nominations and the calibre indicates that more young people are choosing media as a career,” says Sandra Gordon, publisher of The Media magazine.

“There is clearly a need for multi-skilling, particularly within media owners where multimedia journalists are beginning to make their mark. This is indicative of the need for individuals skilled in producing content across a variety of platforms. In the media agency sector there were fewer nominations than our panel would have liked. This may be due to a lack of succession planning by a current crop of media agency leaders,” adds Gordon.
