Starring: Warren Robertson
Director: Chris Forrest
Venue: Scout Hall
Age-restriction: PG

Consumed by wanderlust, comedian Warren Robertson's seemingly insatiable desire to travel the world has taken him to over 30 countries and far from the creature comforts of home.

Now in his second one-man show, he delves into the pages of history to examine the Great Explorers of the past in an attempt to find a common thread that answers the question, "Why do we need to travel?" It's the history that your teachers never taught you about the characters you thought you already knew. From Magellan to Marco Polo, Ibn Battuta and Scott of the Antarctic, what he learns won't change the world, but it might make you want to get on an airplane to go and see it.

His unique dry sense of humour, quick wit and intelligent comedy has made him one of the country’s most popular comedians. Audiences are left in stitches wherever he goes.

About pickledginger

pickledginger is a corporate entertainment and creative concepts agency and is the latest concept in eventing. It is the brain child of Tabitha Hoy, who is no stranger to the entertainment world. She has dabbled in the industry as far back as her university days where she was one of the first female DJs on the University of the Witwatersrand’s Voice of Wits.

Having started her professional career as an entertainment journalist back in 2003, Hoy has gone on to produce comedy and music shows and manage artists in a variety of different fields ever since. After a four year stint as a freelance entertainment booking agent, working closely with The Comedy Shop and Speakers of Note, Hoy joined the corporate field working for PrimeTalent, Primedia Broadcasting’s in-house agency managing all the on-air presenters for their four stations; 94.7 Highveld Stereo, Kfm, 702 and Cape Talk. From there, she joined G Management, Electromode’s in-house agency, working with the likes of Jack Parow, Die Heuwals Fantasties and JR. Over the years, Hoy has been involved in some of the largest and most high profile events in Johannesburg.

In 2012, Hoy went back to her roots and created pickledginger, a freelance agency but still very much respected within the industry. She understands and has experience managing everything from comedians, speakers and musicians to voiceover artists and celebrity endorsements.
