Award-winning band, Gangs of Ballet, and singer-songwriter, Matthew Mole, who was the first local artist to top the South African iTunes album charts, will provide the live soundtrack at this year’s criterium cycling festival along the spectacular Durban Promenade.

Following the success of his debut album The Home We Built in 2013, Mole has continued to woo crowds across the country with his eclectic blend of folk and electronica undertones.

The Fish Hoek-born muso will be joined by Gangs of Ballet, the MTV MAMA Award winning trio who have also garnered five SAMA nominations. Renowned for a captivatingly fresh sound and diverse mix of genres, the Durban-based band’s titillating melodies will transport Engen Cycle in the City attendees smoothly into the evening.

Over and above the musical offerings, spectators at the Durban leg of Engen Cycle in the City can expect exciting short circuit racing, kid’s entertainment, gourmet food stalls and more.

Spectator entry to Engen Cycle in the City is free of charge but limited and all complimentary tickets need to be booked via Webtickets and presented on the day to guarantee admittance. Participant entries are now open.
