Rock, R&B, Gypsy Punk, Metal, Glam- & Shock Rock, Electronic, Experimental, Grunge, local music, Afrikaans Rock and live unplugged performance - it's all here for one explosive weekend of Music vs Movies.

The 2015 festival includes:

  • An investigative documentary into the suspicious death of controversial Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain (plus live unplugged opener performances of his songs by local artists);
  • A look at the rise of gypsy punks Gogol Bordello (a week before they play South Africa at One Night in Cape Town and Oppikoppi Festival);
  • Twisted Sister's tough decade rise to stardom;
  • The 65 year career of R&B pioneer Vann "Piano Man" Walls;
  • The rise, fall and resurrection of Finland's Eurovision winner Lordi;
  • Home grown music comedy starring Rob Van Vuuren, Jon Savage and featuring many local acts;
  • A far-out Canadian sound and music festival; and
  • A look at a prolific local drummer retiring from music.

Expect audience give-aways like the 'other' Kurt Cobain documentary Montage Of Heck, from Raru.co.za and Next Entertainment, One Night In Cape Town and Oppikoppi concert tickets from Hilltop Live, and CD's like Eric Clapton, Michael Buble, Simply Red an more from Warner/Gallo.

The Cape Town leg of the festival runs from Friday, 31 July to Sunday, 2 August at the Labia Theatre and tickets can be booked at Quicket or by phoning the Labia on 021 424 5937 to reserve.

All drinks from the bar can be taken into the cinema.
