new judge Somizi Mhlongo, the esteemed judges encounter contestants who get an unequivocal 'yes'. In one instance we even hear that it was "the perfect audition".
Among the singers who arrive to do their absolute best is a performer who dissed
Idols after his previous stint on the show, a car washer, an orphan and plenty of singer/songwriters. There's also a surprise birthday in this two-hour extravaganza filmed at the beautifully restored historic Durban Playhouse.
