Together their mission is to improve the health of mothers and babies by promoting breastfeeding through education, milk banking, public events and assisting mothers one-on-one with their breastfeeding problems.

It is important to normalise breastfeeding in public. The Big Latch-On encourages all mothers in Johannesburg to come together and promote and celebrate the joy of breastfeeding in public. There will be a presentation about healthy eating habits during lactation, goodie bags for the first 50 mommies as well as spot prizes to be won. Lactation consultants will be there to give moms tips and advice for breastfeeding.

What better way to keep the planet clean and the next generation healthy than to celebrate the women who are making this wonderful food.

Come and show your support this weekend, registration is at 10:00.

The Big Latch-On will be held at 10:30 on Friday, 31 July at Southgate Shopping Mall, Hillbrow Clinic and in the St Mary’s wing at Parklands Clinic in Springs. On Saturday, 1 August, it will be held at Southgate Shopping Mall from 10:30.
