The Totalsports Women’s Race will start in Plein Street at 08:00. Taking place the day after National Women’s Day, the Totalsports Women’s Race supports PinkDrive, a Non-Profit Company (NPC) that is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering services to women across South Africa.

A self-proclaimed ‘reformed tomboy’ with a passion for radio and a heart for people, Ng’ambi is living out her childhood dream. “To quote Maya Angelou; I am a feminist. I've been female for a long time now. I'd be stupid not to be on my own side, ’” says Ng'ambi.

“As someone that has lost a loved one to cancer, I commend PinkDrive for all their hard work. Events like these help raise awareness and by doing so empower us as women. I will be cheering for runners on route as they pass through the Fedhealth Fan Zone. The wonderful thing about a race like the Totalsports Women’s Race is that it brings together people from all walks of life. I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as making some new friends”.

The fast, flat route is ideal for runners that are looking to secure a personal best time while fun seekers are guaranteed a memorable on route experience.

All
entrants will receive an exclusive fitted T-shirt while finisher’s bracelets will be handed to all runners and walkers as they cross the finish line.

After “Running Their City”, participants can look forward to an energetic performance by SAMA winner, Lloyd Cele.
