The highly acclaimed and moving series,
The Healing Power of Nature, presented by African Renaissance Productions returns, with a third series on Saturday, 13 March at 18:30. Having previously captured the audience’s attention with its contemporary interaction between nature and man, the third series looks at South Africa again, but also ventures boldly beyond it’s borders, exploring man’s relationship with his natural environment on an international scale. By focusing on the integral and nurturing relationships humans form with nature, and highlighting the restorative communion this interaction offers,
The Healing Power of Nature transcends culture; creed; and race, often forging unexpected relationships in the process.

The thirteen-part series takes us to all corners of the globe, from the concrete jungle of New York City to the intimate communion the Indians share with the River Ganges. We are presented with narratives ranging from the Snakebusters of Southern India, to a chimpanzee sanctuary in Zambia, and a celestial conjunction between man and birds. The series expands on the unique interaction we have with our planet, giving emotion and visual affirmation to these special bonds people form with nature.

For 2010,
The Healing Power of Nature moves from its usual Sunday evening slot to 18:30 on Saturdays, SABC3, premiering this weekend with 'River of Ashes'.
