Consumer communications director for Nestlé, Therésé Kallie says, “We’re very excited to offer this service during Cape Town’s summer season when roads are jam packed. It’s a really fun way to feel the pulse of the city and really experience Cape Town at this time of the year.”

To catch a ride, flag down the driver with one's best royal wave and King Cone in hand. If by chance one cannot find the Nestle Ice Cream vendor - no problem. One can catch a Tuk-Tuk by calling 083 641 5453, tweet @Tuksicpt or join the BBM group by inviting 2171028A. Without a King Cone in hand a one-way ride will cost R 40.

An intimate ride, the Tuk-Tuk seats two people per trip and will travel to the following routes: City Bowl, Sea Point, Green Point, Camps Bay and Bakoven with ad hoc trips to Hout Bay. One can catch a ride daily at these times: Monday to Tuesday (08:30 to 17:30); Wednesday to Saturday (08:30 to 01:00); and Sundays’ (08:30 – 11:00). In addition the King Cone Tuk-Tuks will be showing up at some of the city’s more prominent events.

The King Cone Tuk-Tuk’s were launched in November with a fleet of 10. During summer 20 will be on the road.
