Rustenburg Local Municipality uses a Z-CARD to prepare itself for the Africa Cup of Nations

The cards are being distributed via the Rustenburg Local Municipality’s road-show, with the aim of ensuring that every household in Rustenburg has one and is aware of the games taking place at their home stadium.

The Z-CARD^® not only sports the full Orange Africa Cup of Nations match schedule, but also a significant message from Mpho Khunou, the executive mayor of the Rustenburg Local Municipality, and offers community members, who have purchased a ticket for any match to be held at the Royal Bafokeng Sport Stadium, the opportunity to win one of several Samsung prizes.

Arranged by Octagon, the world’s largest sponsorship consulting practice and a pioneer and leader in athlete and personality representation and management, the activation for the Rustenburg Local Municipality will see the Z-CARD^®'s distributed via taxi ranks, township community hotspots, shopping malls and other community gathering areas.

The road-show will also see Khunou and some of South Africa’s soccer legends interacting with community members to distribute the Z-CARD^® and to generate awareness around the seven Orange Africa Cup of Nations matches to be played in Rustenburg, at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, namely:

Tuesday, 22 January: Ivory Coast vs. Togo at 17:00 and Tunisia vs. Algeria at 20:00;
Saturday, 26 January: Ivory Coast vs. Tunisia at 17:00 and Algeria v.s Togo at 20:00;
Tuesday, 29 January: Ethiopia vs. Nigeria at 19:00;
Wednesday, 30 January: Algeria vs. Ivory Coast at 19:00; and
Sunday, 3 February – Winner Group B vs. Runner up Group C at 17:00.
