De Sousa has grown his show reel over the last number of years with a host of emotive spots that really capture the essence of the brand and concept.

With notable performances showcasing his ability to direct comedy as well as executing detailed visual pieces his obsession for story telling is ever present.

Whilst he will always love the romance of the limited time frame TVC, he sees himself as a content director who knows that the future of advertising lies in the concept of new avenues to deliver content and key marketing messages. As a result he is keenly involved in the virtual reality (VR) community in Cape Town, seeing this as the potential evolution of storytelling from an immersive perspective.

Charles Gallacher, executive producer at CAB is excited about De Sousa coming on board. “I believe Grant will bring a fresh and unique dimension to CAB. De Sousa has established his nine-year career at a variety of production houses and he sees this new chapter at CAB as an important part of his growth as a director. “I am excited to work with such an experienced producer as Charles to help me create the best work I can.
