Drupal is one of the world’s more popular open source development frameworks and has a community of well over 1 000 000 individuals actively contributing to its code base. Well known websites built using Drupal include the South African, UK and US government sites, publishers like the Economist and Fox News and entertainers including Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

DrupalCamp Cape Town, which takes place on Friday, 4 September, boasts 12 talks by local and international industry speakers. According to organiser Jason Lewis, their presentations will run in two tracks:

“Track one will cover more practical aspects such as frontend design and SEO which will be useful to those with more of a business-oriented mindset, while track 2 will focus more on hardcore coding and Drupal 8.”

Lewis adds: “Although more than 100 people have already registered for the event, we have a few seats left but these are likely to be snapped up in the next couple of days.”

The event is being held at Friends of Design, 186 Bree Street, Cape Town on Friday, 4 September. Registration is from 08:00 to 08:55, with the main event taking place from 09:00 to 16:00. Attendance is free and seats can be booked online here.
