“We used the ‘clink’ as a way to go through the camera to different locations, and bring completely different people together,” they say.

“Hunter’s is one of the largest cider brands in the world and this ad is about people being refreshed and chilling out – whether it be at a rock concert, soccer match, on a tropical island or watching the sun set,” say Beckett and Olding.

Hunter’s global marketing manager Maijaliina Hansen says that artists AKA and Francois van Coke were included in the TVC to illustrate the diversity of people that Hunter’s brings together, just by a simple clink. “Incorporating artists with the massive followings that both AKA and Francois enjoy was a great platform to portray how the brand brings people together but ultimately the message is that Hunter’s is a refreshing cider, nothing more, nothing less.”

Filmed on location in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Mauritius with the opening and closing scenes shot with the original Hunter’s desert setting, the film was directed by Bioscope Films director, Fausto Becatti and conceptualised by 140 BBDO creatives Stephanie Symonds and Aadil Dhalech.
