The PromaxBDA Awards recognises the talent that assists broadcasters to attract and retain viewers. Held annually, it brings together the most creative minds in marketing, promotion production and advertising in the region to celebrate the best the industry has to offer.

The awards ceremony bestowed M-Net Movies and its creative partner, Clearwater, gold honours for the M-Net 'App' TV Commercial in the Best Promo not using Program Footage category. The duo also received gold in the Best use of Social Media category for the M-Net Action Stunt Double Commercial that sees Trevor Gumbi’s obsession with action movies.

The Mzansi Magic team took home seven gold awards for its work with Blackriver, Clearwater, Monarchy and Wicked Pixels, including the Best Television Image Promo for Starship; the Best Reality Promo for Project Runway; DStv and M-Net Best Editing for Ayeye; the Best Radio Promotion for Rich Kids; the Best Original Logo Design for VUZU AMP’s Vuzic; the Best Visual FX and Composting for VUZU AMP’s Update Idents; and for Channel 0 as Channel Brand of the Year.

Clearwater for M-Net Edge also received gold in the Best Weekly Wonder category for the House of Cards Finale.

The PromaxBDA Awards recognise the creative endeavours of the industry and are presented to companies and individuals whose work is judged by a panel of promotion and marketing professionals who consider overall creativity, production quality, and results in achieving marketing objectives.
