Johanna McDowell, founder and MD of IAS and a judge of the category says; “HDI is a specialist agency has a great track record of long-term success in their market. The partnership with Pick n Pay has yielded consistently good results.”

The event enjoyed a good turn-out with the who’s who of the marketing industry.

“The IAS is very committed to the Adfocus Awards as we regard it as the most influential business award in the marketing community,” says McDowell. “Our sponsorship of the Client:Agency Award is in its third year and resonates with our growth in client/agency relationship management. We congratulate the winner and finalists in the category.”

The intermediary who specialises in pitch management and assisting marketers and agencies learn how to work best together highlights that the award signifies strong and focused business relationships that are capable of producing superior quality work required for clients’ needs.

“It is pleasing to notice that successful agencies and marketers aspire to win it. It is about how real partnerships are generated from equal risk and translate to equal reward,” says McDowell.

Although entrants to the Best Partnership category are not judged on having the longest relationship, the minimum requirement is a meaningful three-year partnership. They look at the most recent work and achievements in the last 12 months in terms of quality and success.

In addition, the scope of the work needs to be driven by sales and media coverage and the agency needs to demonstrate that the work produced in those 12 months is excellent. They also take into account what the client says when working with the agency that has been nominated.
