Edwards is currently managing partner at the agency, overseeing the KFC account – one of the largest accounts in the O&M South Africa Group.

Together with Mokoena, Edwards will help drive agency growth and excellence in client service, while retaining her responsibilities on KFC.

Edwards first started her communications career in public relations at Leo Burnett, before joining O&M Johannesburg in 2001. Over her 21-year career, she has worked with a number of top brands, including Avis, Coca-Cola, MultiChoice and Unilever. Most recently, she has led the KFC account at O&M as managing partner and successfully established the agency’s first fully-integrated CoLab, which quadrupled the size of the account in less than five years.

Under her leadership, the Ogilvy and KFC partnership has produced award-winning work, having received recognition at local and international shows, such as The Loeries, Ad Review and Cannes Lions.

“Tracey exhibits Ogilvy’s eight habits in everything she does,” said Mokoena. “She always puts her client’s best interest first and is dually respected by her teams. I am excited about partnering with her to keep building our clients’ brands through Ogilvy’s Twin Peaks philosophy in creating creative and effective communications.”

Commenting on her promotion, Edwards said, “At a time when integrated communications is so important, I am especially thrilled to propel creative and effective work for more of the clients we work with. I am looking forward to supporting our dynamic teams to keep embracing David Ogilvy’s spirit of ‘divine discontent’, to further grow some of the country’s most loved brands.”
