The 2009 South African Blackball Championships in The Big Top Arena at Carnival City from 18 to 25 November will give local and international pool lovers the opportunity to witness the ultimate experience in pool. The South African Blackball Championships is single biggest Pool event in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting 90 pool tables in one venue.

This prestigious gathering is a national event which is the culmination of the 2009 league season for all Blackball Pool Players in South Africa. The National Blackball Federation (NBF) is the proud custodian of the fast-growing game of Blackball Pool. The National Pool League, to be launched on 19 November, will see sixteen teams from all over SA will playin a straight knockout tournament, with the winning team pocketing R50 000 cash.

Over 500 of South Africa’s best Blackball players who have qualified through the nine Provincial structures will compete for the South African titles on offer, which include SA National Social Tournament; SA National under 23s Championship; SA National Seniors Championship; SA National Ladies Championship; SA National Masters Championship; and SA National Open Championship
