Sea Rescue magazine, which is produced for the National Sea Rescue Institute by The Publishing Partnership, won the PICA for ‘Essential Services’ in the business-to-business publishing excellence category. This is the second time Sea Rescue has won this award, enjoying a win in 2007.

Over the years Sea Rescue magazine has emerged as a valuable showcase for the National Sea Rescue Institute as it celebrates the rescue efforts of the 880 volunteers at 30 coastal and three inland bases around the country. The magazine is filled with stories of their heroism as they race to aid people in trouble on South African waters. The magazine also shares vital water safety information to all water users, especially children.

Winning the PICA recognises these important messages, as well as the essential services performed by the rescue workers.
