After highly successful concerts in other parts of the country, the brilliant brass quintet Harmonic Brass Munich finally arrives in the Cape today. They start at the Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium in Parow tonight (9 February) at 20:00 with their exciting programme, Bonjour Paris.

The five sound architects of Harmonic Brass have taken their time to work at their new programme. The audience is taken on a sightseeing tour through Paris which no travel agency can offer: at the zoo, you may marvel at the animals from Camille Saint-Saens, 'The Carnival of the Animals'; then you are led to Versailles to hear two immaculately played piccolo trumpets describe the fountains there. You descend the catacombs of the Paris Opera to follow the traces of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, and the children are welcomed to Euro Disney Land with the long-awaited presentation of a Disney version of Mouse and Friends. And all this within two hours. Bonjour Paris does not leave anything musical to be desired and at the same time increases people's longing for this wonderful city.

Whoever loves both a big and elegant sound will adore Germany's most popular quintet: brilliantly played brass music together with an overwhelming joy of performing and a big pinch of self-mockery always give the audience the feeling to be in the right place at the right time.
