Jonathan Roxmouth, presently starring as Danny Zuko in Grease at the Teatro, will be performing in Hats Off!, the Hilarious Songbook of Flanders and Swann.

He will be teaming up with Louis Zurnamer in The Studio Theatre at Montecasino from 17 June to 1 August 2010. The show will be “disciplined” by Alan Swerdlow.
In Hats Off!, Jonathan Roxmouth (Naledi- and Fleur Du Cap-winning star of Beauty And The Beast; A Handful Of Keys; Cats; and Grease) and Louis Zurnamer (multi award-nominated maestro of Hair; Jesus Christ Superstar; Chess; Beauty And The Beast; and Cats) team up to revisit the madcap musical antics of famous British comedy duo, Michael Flanders and Donald Swann.

Sharing the stage with nothing but a baby grand piano (in tune, if you are lucky) and their off-beat senses of humour (out of tune, if you aren’t) they explore the many humorous and downright silly songs of Flanders and Swann, including the classic “G-nu Song”; intoxicating “Madeira M’Dear”; and infectious “Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud Ballad for Piano and Hippo”.

Described as an ingenious mix of Tom Lehrer; Gilbert and Sullivan; and Monty Python, this is a comedy revue brimming with catchy tunes, tongue in cheek chemistry and laugh out loud humour. Suitable for anyone with a pulse.

Bookings through Computicket or at the Box Office.

“It’s just plain silly, really!”
